Run Leader resources

Training and courses
RunTogether and England Athletics offers a number of courses to help Runners and Run Leaders develop their running and running group leadership skills. These include Leader in Running Fitness, Run Leader Development Days, and the LiRF to CiRF workshop.
Bespoke training sessions also take place via a variety of formats and occasions; for example, webinars, group visits and events such as the National Running Show.
Running safely
Safety guidance within the Run Leader Toolkit covers how to prepare for emergencies and the welfare and health of runners.
We also have running safety guidelines from UK Athletics which support all types of runners - but in relation to how to run safely and in particular, what you can do if you encounter any negative behaviour from others.
Tips and advice
To help you get started on your running journey, we have friendly advice on popular topics such as ‘walking your first run’ and ‘useful running kit’.
